Donald Bartlett/Goldsboro VFD Scholarship is a $1,000 fund given at a minimum annually. The scholarship is provided to seniors of Colonel Richardson High School and North Caroline High School. The awardee must plan to pursue a career in health care, nursing or EMS.

    The scholarship is open to high school seniors.

    Required
  • Other Academic Requirements:
    The applicant must have been accepted to college as a full-time student.
  • School:
    The scholarship is open to students of Colonel Richardson High School and NorthCaroline High School .
  • College:
    The applicant must be planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university, or accredited two-year institution.
  • Major/Career:
    Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in health care, nursing or EMS.
  • Extracurricular:
    The applicants must demonstrate community involvement and extracurricular activities.

    Applicant must write an essay about their personal life goals and values.
  • Recommendation Letters:
    Two letters of recommendation from non-family members (e.g. teacher, guidance counselor, employer, athletic coach, etc.).

    Applicant must submit their letter of acceptance from college or university and a copy of parent/guardian and students most recent income tax return.
