- Residence:Permanent residents (or United States citizens or who are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) persons shall follow the Domestic Applicant Minimum Scholarship Requirements.)

- College:Preference to student enrolled in one of the UMCs historically black colleges/universities.
