Allen Butler Minority Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund
Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation
This scholarship fund was established by the Duluth's African American Men's Group in 1996 to honor Officer Allen Butler . Allen Butler was a police officer of the Duluth Police department who served for more than twenty years and was a positive influence to many Duluthians. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to people of color to begin or continue law enforcement training at a post-secondary institution.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:Graduates of the Duluth Public Schools or those have received a GED in Duluth;
- Financial Need:Required
- Residence:Duluth city residents for at least three years
- School:Graduates of the Duluth Public Schools or those have received a GED in Duluth
- Major/Career:Those intending to pursue continuing education in the field of law enforcement
