AISES ExxonMobil Geosciences (Field Work) Scholarship Program
American Indian Science and Engineering Society
This scholarship was established by AISES and ExxonMobil to benefit students pursuing degrees in the geosciences in financing field work and research. The program was designed to enable Native American/Alaskan Native/Native Hawaiian students gain actual experience in the geosciences field. Scholarships are intended to directly support geology mapping / geological field-based analysis, or geophysical fieldwork.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age/Grade Level:Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral program in a geosciences field.
- Minimum GPA:3.0
- Financial Need:Not Mentioned
- Major/Career:Students pursuing degrees in the geosciences in financing field work and research.
- Ethnicity:American Indian Tribe or Alaskan Native Village or are listed on the Native Hawaiian Rolls
- Organization:Applicants must also be a current member of AISES.
- Miscellaneous:Applicants must have been applied or been accepted into a geoscience field camp at the time of application, or be able to provide a summary of their approved, plan for Summer or Fall 2016 field based research.

- Essay:Personal statement limited to no more than 1000 words addressing educational and/or career goals, interest in and motivation to continue higher education, demonstrate an understanding of the importance of college and the students commitment to complete the educational program undertaken, and demonstrate the students plan or desire to make a difference in or impact their community.
- Recommendation Letters:Two letters of recommendation. Letters from a professor, employer, advisor from school, and/or non-related adult in your community who knows you well.
- Other Materials:A completed online application;An acceptance letter to a geoscience field camp;A brief outline/summary of their approved plan (by academic advisor/department head) for Summer, or Fall, 2016 field based research.
